WebTick bite . Hey everyone. I got bit by a lone star tick on Saturday and removed it Saturday evening. Today I had a swollen lymph node and got an antibiotic. Other than that I’ve felt fine.. until tonight. I just started feeling very nauseous and lightheaded. Should this be a concern? Maybe a side effect from the medication? Various pathogens have been shown to enter the tick by blood feeding; however, most are not transmitted because the tick is not a competent vector (Goddard and Varela-Stokes 2009).
