WebJul 1, 2016 · In this study we found that ultrasound-guided D&C successfully removed 97.67% of CSPs in patients with cesarean scars thicker than 3 mm compared with 50% of those in patients with scars thinner than 3 mm. In our study the average operating room time was 13.8 ± 1.6 minutes, and the average blood loss was 40 ± 8.7 mL. WebConclusion: Ultrasound-guided D&C is the first choice for treating CSP if the cesarean scar is >3 mm thick, blood flow is not abundant, and the maximum diameter of the gestational sac is <30 mm. A transabdominal procedure is preferred for patients with high-risk factors.
