Paratext and translation
WebParatext and Power is a multimodal investigation that tracks the role of paratexts in translations of Arabic literature and their use since WWII. Paratexts such as introductions, prefaces, forewords, afterwords, glossaries, and notes, contain keys to understanding the westward movement of Arabi c literature. Project Director: WebTranslator's Notes (TN) is a verse-by-verse commentary geared specifically for local Bible translators, produced by the SIL International Translation Department, and authored by experienced translation consultants. TN is written in easy English for translators whose mother tongue is not English.
